Child and Babysitting Safety

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) training is intended for those over the age of 13 years old who are planning to provide babysitting services for young children and infants. The program includes instruction on the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic care giving skills, and guidelines on how to recognize and handle problems that my occur. The goal of training is to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively supervise and mange children in their care. Upon completion of the class students will receive a copy of their CABS Certification Card.
There are no prerequisites for taking the CABS, but CPR/ First Aid/ AED certification is strongly recommended; also offered through Fire and Safety. Parents are not required to stay with the students.

Attendance/ Cancellation Policy
Students are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time. Any student that is over 10 minutes late will be denied entry to the class and will be considered a no-show. If a student is a no-show, they will be offered placement into an upcoming class. If the student misses the second class, all funds are non-refundable.
Cancellations greater than 24 hours prior to the selected class are refundable in the total amount, with the exception of a 5% credit card fee. Cancellations within 24 hours of selected classes are non-refundable. Students may be rescheduled into an upcoming class one time. If a student cancels or is considered a no-show twice within 24 hours of the selected classes, all funds are non-refundable.
